It was an absolute pleasure to be back out doing the thing we love and be amongst dogs and dog people once again. Southern Counties must be congratulated for putting on a show for us all, albeit slightly different to what we have previously been used to, but all in all it ran smoothly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thank you also, to my steward Dr Ruth Barbour. Even though I found the dog classes of particular strength, there are s ome excellent examples of the breed across both sexes and this is something that bodes well for the future and you all must be congratulated. Thank you for bringing your dogs.
MPD 1 Danks-Kemish’s Wenflaen Lets Get Serious For Alolfrana. Nearly 9months old and coming along on the right lines. He needs confidence which, given the circumstances, is to be expected. Keep going, he’s worth it. Produced a very pleasing outline when relaxed and stood.
PD 1 Richardson’s Gwendariff Tullys Red Arrows. 10 month old who was the more together for his age, won the class on his front assembly which he used to advantage in profile. Good head and expression, well off for bone and standing on good feet. Super coat and condition. 2 Pike’s Redclyst The Celt. 11 month old, who today had the better topline. Pleasing in head and a good neck, not quite the front of the winner and this showed as he came towards me. 3 Danks-Kemish’s Wenflaen Lets Get Serious For Alolfrana.
JD 1 Tuite’s Porschet Moonlight Shadow. Won today’s class on head properties, he has a very typical expression. Correct topline and decent tailset. Could move with a tad more enthusiasm but he is sound and covers the ground. I liked him for type. 2 Beresford’s Jetsetter Wind Of Dreams (Imp Rus). Full of himself, and I liked his outline, not quite the head as yet, but time is on his side. Just preferred to play about today which spoilt his movement, but he’s still a kid. 3 Pullen & Atkin’s Covarney Pickpocket At Jacingail.
YD 1 Brown’s Riverbrue Soldier On. A very nice class. I liked this dog for type very much, his head is beautiful, and he looks at you right, super in outline, superb front which topped the class in his favour. Well bodied and boned, super topline and tailset. In good coat. Moved out well and looked good in profile. One with a title in front of him with an average amount of luck. 2 Willis’ Gwendariif The Grand Master At Jacwilins. Very glamorous boy with a pleasing head and expression. Strong neck and topline. Beautifully presented and conditioned. Not quite the front of the winner and he just didn’t use it to his advantage today. I can see them changing places on another day. 3 Dufrat’s Riverbrue Cast No Shadow On Haverley.
MD 1 Riverbrue Soldier On. 2 Williams’ Ixia Jelly Fox. Beautifully presented and handled, he is coming along on the right lines, pleases in expression, firm topline. Just not the reach in front today. 3 Russell’s Melmara Montalbano.
GD 1 Gardner’s Quensha Walk Me Home To Danwish. Mature and in superb condition, he produces a very pleasing outline in profile. His head is superb with a fabulous eye shape. Good in shoulder and return of upper arm, although could be a tad tighter at the elbow, and not overdone behind. Moves out well using his tail. 2 Tapper’s Lynwood Heypresto Kedalita. Pleases so much for outline on the stack, his head is superb with glorious expression. In superb condition. He moved out with style and kept his outline, using himself in profile. Just not as precise going away as the winner. 3 Rorke’s Zakhanaes The Red Le Baron.
PGD 1 Russell’s Lynwood Hocus Pocus At Settesoli JW. Superb young dog, full of quality and type, loved his outline being racy and totally balanced and he is in superb condition. His head and expression are delightful. There is very little to change when going over him and he is superb on the move covering the ground with ease and style, keeping his outline with firm topline. I liked him enormously and he continued to impress in the challenge and was rewarded with the RCC in excellent company. Should carry a title if there is any justice. 2 Gardner’s Danwish On High (AI) JW. Another super dog who scores highly for type, carried his tail a little higher than the winner but apart from that, not much to split them. Good to go over and move out on the right track. Another good one. 3 Williamson’s Bluesprings Picture This JW.
LD 1 Chorley-Newton, Chorley, Flinders & Gardner’s Pawsword Priceless To Kerryfair JW. I enjoyed judging this class and they could easily change places on another day. Loved this dog in profile, his head is superb, and he is full of type. Totally balanced in outline, move with drive and precision. Well handled and presented, I considered him strongly in the challenge, his day will come, and I will not disagree when it does. Another with a title ahead of him I’m sure. 2 Muir’s Gwendariff Iaem Comin Out JW. Very close up and so similar in type. Another beautiful head and expression, super to go over and in fabulous condition. Has the correct outline. Moved out well and covers the ground. Good one. 3 Edwards’ Gwendariff Ucan’tmissme Bonhomie.
OD 1 Stockton’s Sh Ch Riverblue Alchemist Amidst Kespas JW. Absolutely fabulous dog, fully mature and at the top of his game. Superb head and expression, correct racy outline, well angulated without exaggeration and totally balanced. Moved out with style and precision. His coat could, perhaps, be a little straighter but this must never detract from his obvious quality. He is a real class act with a fantastic temperament to boot. On this form he will be hard to pass and today was definitely his. I was delighted to award him the CC and BOB and he continued to shine in the group where I was thrilled to see him take Group 2 under Gundog expert Frank Kane. 2 Danks-Kemish’s Sh Ch Alolfrana Hotter Than U’know JW. Like the head and expression of this boy and he keeps the correct outline. Moved out well. Decent front assembly. Worthy of his title.
Sp Beg D 1 Corless’ Swiftlark First Knight. Pleasing outline and in good body condition, he moves on the right track. 2 Henderson & Szwajkowski’s Redclyst Pasha. Still immature in body which showed in his movement today, well presented and a pleasing expression.
VD 1 Foster & Walsh’s Millcroft Chase The Moon To Shanoah. What a lovely pair of oldies, who are both a credit to the breed and their owners. This dog scored in outline. 2 Hoskins’ Sandstream Just A Breeze With Ralphski. Another super dog, close up and thoroughly enjoying being out and about.
GCD 1 Rorke’s Zakhanaes The Red Le Baron. Moved out well keeping an outline, pleasing expression and in good condition. 2 Randle’s Forfarian’s Hidden Secret With Rionore. Correct for outline, just a tad heavy over the shoulders today, well handled and moved with some style. 3 Poole’s Teleri Summer Nights (AI). Sp Beg B 1 Corless’ Swiftlark Second Nature. Pleasing for type and shape, sweet expression, balanced in outline. 2 Fox’s Kerryfair Special Diamond. Sweet expression, not the front of the winner, moved out well. 3 Purves’ Grousehill Penny Lane.
MPB 1 Fox & Fiders’ Kerryfair Heart To Heart. 8 months and enjoying her day, pleasing for type and a sweet head and expression, moved ok when settled. Balanced in outline. PB 1 Jones’ Gwendariff Dazzling Diva. 9 mth old and full of promise, she has an exceptional outline for her age and moves with style and purpose. Her head is super, and she is in fantastic condition. One for the future no doubt. BP. 2 Pike & Macdonald’s Redclyst Glenury Oiche Chiuin. 11 months. And another with a very pleasing head and expression. In superb condition, she just needs to fill into her frame and then she should have some fun. 3 Box’s Fernstart Hearts Delight.
JB 1 Douthwaite & Wharfe’s Quensha Beautiful Stranger. Super headed bitch, with a balanced and typical outline, decent front which she used in profile and this clinched the class. In good body condition and coat coming in nicely. 2 Longbottom & Stewart-Ritchie’s Gwendariff Well Be Phame. Close up and very sinister for type, she too has a pretty head and expression, will change places, but today not as fluid in front. 3 Evans’ Alolfrana Anna Stesia Of Tytarva (AX2).
YB 1 Frampton & Piggin’s Riverbrue Cloudburst Over Strathmead. Another super class. The first two are an absolute delight and I was splitting hairs. To find out that they were litter sisters underlined this. This is an absolutely gorgeous bitch. Still young but her type and quality just simply cannot be ignored. I loved her head and expression, her superb front, correct topline sloping slightly to a well set and carried tail. She is totally balanced and has that look at me attitude that we all cherish when we get it. She moved with such style and panache, balanced in action and totally eyecatching. Still to reach full maturity in coat but she must have an exciting future ahead of her. She has quality in spades, and I hope she gets rewarded with a well deserved title. In the challenge she refused to let me ignore her and, in my opinion, was a very well deserved CC. 2 Humphreys’ Riverbrue Flashbax At Henaleas. Another absolutely gorgeous bitch, with so very little to split these two today. She too has the correct outline, gorgeous head and expression, balanced angulation without exaggeration and soundest of movement. If I judged this class another day, I could easily change them around. The winner just edged ahead on the look at me factor and there was the decider. So close was the decision that she had to have the RCC. Another who must surely finish with a title. 3 Sturrock’s Forfarian Tickles Yer Fancy. MB 1 Frampton & Piggin’s Riverbrue Cloudburst Over Strathmead. 2 Catling’s Quensha Family Portrait For Teleri. Pretty bitch with a lovely head and expression, presents a pleasing outline and moves on the right track, just preferred the front angulation of the winner today. 3 Douthwaite & Wharfe’s Quensha Beautiful Stranger Of Gracewood. GB 1 Muir’s Gwendariffaes Up To Somethin. Lovely bitch, super head and expression, so completely balanced, in fabulous condition, moved out with style and precision. 2 Rorke’s Zakhanaes Dream Believer. Another very lovely bitch who wasn’t as finished today as the winner, prettiest of head and expressions, moves out well. 3 Williamson’s Bluesprings Sunday Girl.
PGB 1 Edwards’ Gwendariff Its Numero Uno At Bonhomie JW. Pretty head and expression, put on a show which took the class for her, pleasing in outline and in fabulous condition. 2 Catling’s Teleri Indian Summer (AI) JW. Liked this girl too, pleasing in outline and moved out keeping her topline and using her tail, decent front, balanced behind and in good coat. 3 Chorley-Newton, Chorley & Flinders’ Kerryfair Foxy Forever. This gorgeous bitch produces the most fantastically typical outline, and stood I thought she was breathtaking. I was so sad that she was not too happy on the move, spoiling her chances. I truly hope she has better days.
LB 1 Mugford’s Lynwood Abracadabra JW. Liked the shape on this bitch enormously, her head and expression are delightful, completely balanced in outline, with flowing lines throughout. On the move she has reach and drive. Superb for type and I considered her strongly in the challenge. I just felt the heat may have got to her as she lost a little sparkle when it mattered, shame because she too should title. 2 Bouttell & Burbridge’s Ixia Rainbow Brite. Slightly different in type but she has a lot of qualities and I can see her changing places on another day. She is the ultimate showgirl and really uses herself on the move. Just preferred the head of the winner today. 3 Roberts’ Jetsetter Cristalle To Polmennor JW.
OB 1 Danks-Kemish’s Rappatty Star Light Over Alolfrana JW SHCM. Decent bitch who pleases in profile movement, pleasing in expression, good for substance yet retains a feminine outlook. 2 Waterton’s Sandstream Welcome Breeze JW ShCM. Another good bitch who defies her age, in superb condition, just not the verve of the winner today. 3 Tapper’s Lynwood Merry Mayden At Kedalita.
VB 1 Sturrock’s Sh Ch Forfarian Hey Sexy Lady JW. Delightful bitch of 8 years who absolutely defies her age. Superb outline and in fabulous condition, an absolute credit. Super head and expression and moves like a 2 year old. BV. 2 Brown’s Baystrider Candy Floss. In super condition and enjoying her day, a credit to her owner. GCB 1 Rorke’s Zakhanaes Dream Believer.
